| AND JUST FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 2003 |
The Painter's Canvas of the Day |
I am given a blank canvas to paint my day in whatever colors I choose. The responsibilities that lie before me and the circumstances may not change, but I have control over the colors that I choose to paint my day. I can paint my sky gray and gloomy, or I can paint clouds of gray to water the earth. I can paint sadness for my health or I can gladden my heart, for I am alive. I can paint the thorns on a rose bush, or I can paint beautiful roses. I can paint the mountains of work that lie before me, or I can be thankful that I have work to do. I can choose red and paint anger with a friend, or I can color my heart red with forgiveness, And be thankful for my friends. I can paint green with envy, or paint gold, the courage God has blessed me with. I am blessed with a palette of hope, courage, kindness and peace. It is all up to me, in the colors I choose to paint my day. |
