| Hello everybody, This is just an announcement that I will be singing in a local opera production during the month of November, and y'all are welcome to come and see/hear it and me. The opera is titled "The Other Wise Man" and the music is by Dr. Robert Herman, a retired music professor, and friend of mine. The text is based on the novella of the same name by Henry Van Dyke. It is the story of the 4th wise man who got left behind, and spends his entire life seeking the promised Messiah. The music is quite lovely. Fairly traditional style harmonies, nothing outlandish or avant garde. I will be singing in the chorus for all performances, and will be singing two solo roles on 3 nights. I have the part of a skeptical fellow "Magian" and also the part of the captain of Herod's soldiers. Performances are at the Tillamook High School auditorium, 7 PM on the following dates (all Friday and Saturday nights): Nov. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22. I will be singing solos on the first two nights, Nov. 7, 8 and the second Saturday night, Nov. 15. I believe tickets are generally $10 for adults, with better prices for children and seniors.
